Wisteria Wreath

This figural brooch is Belle Époque through and through — sapphires, carrying a soft royal blue that seems to come from inside, set in fine millegrain. The gallery is sawn through with a saw-blade no thicker than a hair. We bought it from an old Magyar estate, with the original receipt still tucked inside the lid. Nothing about it was made to impress, which is exactly why it does.
