Vespers Trilogy

A gypsy-set ring in 18-carat yellow gold, citrines bright at arm's length, quiet up close. Whoever made it favoured sculpted goldsmithing. It is finished on the inside as carefully as on the face, where no one would ever look. It had spent two generations with a Milanese estate before it found its way to us, passed hand to hand and never once sold until now. It is the kind of thing you buy once and never think to replace.
