Vespers Crescent
€2,640
Sculpted goldsmithing across the whole face of a small wreath brooch.
The story
A wreath brooch in 18-carat yellow gold, citrines bright at arm's length, quiet up close. Whoever made it favoured sculpted goldsmithing. The detail is built up bead by bead, a technique half-lost by the time this was made.
It had spent two generations with a Yorkshire estate before it found its way to us, passed hand to hand and never once sold until now. You can tell it was worn, not kept — the highest thing we can say of a piece.
