The Verdigris Rivière

A Georgian rivière, the rock crystal deepening to colourless white fire under candlelight. The gallery is sawn through with a saw-blade no thicker than a hair. It came to us from a house near Antwerp, still in the fitted box it was put away in. Nothing about it was made to impress, which is exactly why it does.
