A small Art Deco thing, and a serious one. The onyx are cooler in daylight than you expect, never showy, the calibré-cut channel setting unmistakable. It is finished on the inside as carefully as on the face, where no one would ever look. It reached us out of a house in the home counties, unworn for a lifetime and none the worse for it. It is the kind of thing you buy once and never think to replace.
