Nightjar Studs

A pair of girandole earrings in platinum, old-cut diamonds catching the light along one edge and nowhere else. Whoever made it favoured knife-edge galleries. The gallery is sawn through with a saw-blade no thicker than a hair. It had spent two generations with a Yorkshire estate before it found its way to us, passed hand to hand and never once sold until now. Nothing about it was made to impress, which is exactly why it does.
