Cadence Gate

A hinged bangle in high-carat gold, chrysoberyl deepening to quiet colour under candlelight. Whoever made it favoured cannetille goldwork. It is finished on the inside as carefully as on the face, where no one would ever look. It had spent two generations with a Karlsbad collection before it found its way to us, passed hand to hand and never once sold until now. It is the kind of thing you buy once and never think to replace.
